(Editorial comment by James Lancaster): This rule is because the board had not determined what's legally permissible and also allowable for working/building/modifying firearms at the makerspace, the rule (as quoted) may appear to apply to carrying a firearm, but that was not the intent of this specific statement:
"We are still operating under the rule that NO GUNS will be allowed until we have had an opportunity to research it further"
